Frankfurt am Main, 10 February 2026– At their shareholders’ meeting, the shareholders of GFU Consumer & Home Electronics GmbH elected Ulf Schreurs, Country Head Germany/Austria at Sony Europe B.V., German branch, to the company’s Supervisory Board with effect from 1 March 2026. He succeeds Philipp Maurer, Country Manager/CEO DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) Panasonic Europe, who had been a member of the board since January 2023 and most recently served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Enrico Hoffmann, Senior Vice President/Head of Sales and Marketing Central Europe at BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, was subsequently elected as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Hoffmann has been a member of the Supervisory Board since September 2024. Christian Gerwens, Managing Director of Miele Vertriebsgesellschaft Deutschland KG, was confirmed as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Overall, the Supervisory Board thus remains continuously staffed in the key positions.
The Supervisory Board’s term of office runs until the end of 2026. The re-election of the entire board for the next term of office will be initiated at the end of 2026, so that the Supervisory Board will take up its duties again or continue its work from January 2027.
The outgoing GFU Supervisory Board Chairman Philipp Maurer looks back on his time in office: ‘For me, the work on the GFU Supervisory Board was always characterised by trust, objectivity and a shared understanding of the importance of the industry. The new Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Enrico Hoffmann, emphasises the continuity of the work: ‘GFU and IFA stand for stability, industry relevance and sustainability.
