Β»Connecting means excluding no one β not in language, not in access, not in how we interact with one another. For me, that is not a box-ticking exercise, but the foundation of every good collaboration.Β«
Attitude, Language & Data Protection
Independent means: being open to everyone
As an independent voice of the industry, GFU does not represent individual interests, but the whole. This neutrality is our foundation, and it comes with responsibility. Anyone who speaks for an entire industry must be open, accessible, and reliable: equally toward all shareholders, toward the media and policymakers, and toward everyone interested in the Home & Consumer Tech market. How we handle language, accessibility, and personal data is therefore not a mere formality for us. It is an expression of what GFU stands for.
Language
Clarity without exclusion.
Language creates clarity, and that is exactly what matters to us. For better readability, we use the generic masculine. This decision is not directed against inclusion: all personal designations naturally apply to all genders and identities. At GFU, what counts is what someone contributes to the industry β not the form in which we refer to him or her.
Accessibility
What we make accessible.
Information is only valuable when it reaches people. As the industryβs information hub, we want our content to be usable by everyone β regardless of technical requirements or individual needs. This website is designed according to the principles of digital accessibility and is guided by the recognized standards of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. We are continuously developing it further.
Privacy Policy
How we handle data.
Trust is the currency of an industry organization. Accordingly, we handle your data with care: we collect only what we truly need and do not pass on any personal data to third parties. Our website complies with the requirements of the GDPR. We transparently disclose what we store and why β you can read more in our privacy policy.
